“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–
And why the sea is boiling hot–
And whether pigs have wings.”
Have you enjoyed writing this blog?
Yes, it’s been cathartic, challenging and chaotic – which I think suits me. I’ve enjoyed trying to put a different slant on things hoping readers would enjoy that, would smile, would tell their friends or their enemies about the blog, would comment and would return again and again to see what was new.
So why are you going to stop?
I think it is slightly suspect to write things that hardly anybody wants to read. It’s akin to talking to yourself and for the last four months I’ve pretty much been doing just that. I guess I’ve just been barking loudly into a world of noise and if people don’t want to listen fair enough. A week ago at a family dinner it became obvious that out of 9 family members I was the only one reading my own blog! That tells me that I’m probably not writing about things that my family and friends want to read and, assuming they are normal people and that they have better things to do with their time then I can hardly expect anything else from the rest of the world.
Will you be back?
Never say never, but I think I tried this as an experiment and the experiment has drawn to a close.
Do you have anything new planned?
Well, I’ve enrolled for further education.
What are you going to study?
Sewing. You know the usual stuff – how to make a silk purse, how to stitch on wings.
Anything you’d like to say to those who’d say they are your loyal and ardent fans?
